EDWARD J. THORP

Age 87, of Tinley Park, passed away on Friday, November 18th, 2022 at Warren Barr in Orland Park.

Edward is survived by his loving family, wife, Clementine Thorp (Bloom), children, Ginny Kriz, William (Nemie) Thorp, Charles (Pam) Thorp, Fredrick (Teresa) Thorp, Steven Thorp, Susan (Dan) Panozzo, Nancy (Larry) Pufahl, Dale (Melissa) Campbell, Lisa (Terry) Culver, 24 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Ted & Catherine Thorp (Coulson), former wife, Donna Thorp (Sodetz), son, Jeffrey Campbell, siblings, Lois Johnston, Dorothy Schouten, Patricia Ward and Sister Grace Thorp.

Edward was a United States Army Veteran and active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mokena and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plainfield. He retired from System Sensor in St. Charles as an Engineer. Edward greatly enjoyed fishing, golfing, square dancing, reading and being a snowbird in Maui Hawaii.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Monday, November 28th, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
